The volumes and papers of the Church Records of Beverly covers the period of the founding of the Parish to the day of the congregation of its successor, the First Parish Church in Beverly.  record the names and events of the founding of the Church, chronicle the origins of New England Puritan traditions, and document the evolution of the Bass River Parish from a precinct of Salem, to the bustling city we see today.  The First Parish Church Historical Committee, as part of its program to catalog and preserve the Church’s ancient archives, has taken on the long term task of preserving, photographing and indexing this priceless collection
